About Tumi
I have spent the majority of my life really trying to understand my purpose in life. I have travelled to many places, met many people and I have experienced a lot of ways to live life, and have always yearned to share these experiences.
In 2021 following the hard times brought on by the world wide pandemic, I felt that it was time that I create this platform to share what ever information I have gained, the little knowledge I earn about mental health, spirituality, sobriety, recovery and personal growth. Here I share whatever tools I have in my toolbox to achieve serenity and peace-of-mind. I hope you join me on this journey and let us learn together.
My Mission
I have always found that when I write my thoughts down on paper it increases my accountability toward myself. I am able to look back at a certain period of time in my life and reflect on how far I have grown and/ or regressed. This channel will give me the opportunity to have the same benefits of keeping a diary and at the same time share with others lessons life has to offer.
I am a woman who has had difficulties with substance abuse, depression, anxiety and metal health issues, like some of us. I feel it is time that I openly talk about these struggles. There is a lot of stigma surrounding these issues and I think it is time we talk about them openly and honestly.
Mental health is a struggle for many, and eventually I would like to create a safe space for the ones who suffer to open up and seek the help they really deserve.
Together we can find may ways to deal with these issues. It is time for me to share what I have shared with my family, my friends, my fellows and myself. To do so, will not only help others, but will definitely increase self accountability.
